FED: Another $17,000 for One Nation

CANBERRA, Dec 16 AAP - One Nations coffers will swell by a further $17,000 following the
supplementary election in the federal seat of Newcastle.

The fledgling party was beaten into third spot on preferences by the Australian Greens in
the November 21 election, but will still pick up $16,976.90 in election funding, based on
$1.62 for each primary vote received.

The Greens will receive $9,675 and Labor, which won the seat, will reap more than $51,000,
the Australian Electoral Commission said today.

The AEC will pay out a total of $98,291.16 for the seat.

The election was delayed by the death of the Australian Democrats candidate days before the
October 3 federal election.
